Shal is a Mathematics & Electrical Engineering graduate from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Shal has over 25 years engineering, management and consulting experience in several industries including Electronics, Communications Broadcasting, and Merchandising and Retail Display.
Shal has held management positions in numerous functions: Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Engineering Operations, and Human Resources. As Director of Operations, Shal played a key role in selecting Lean projects and actively engaged the participation of team members to deliver continuous improvements in both product and process quality. She has been involved in both the design and the delivery of quality training including Lean and Six Sigma. She has also led the design of a management development program that has been delivered to thousands of managers in multiple countries for a global electronics company.
Shal is comfortable working with all levels of employees and management, in multiple cultures. She brings a high level of energy and a positive outlook to identifying and driving business process improvements. Shal’s strong facilitation and communication skills keeps all team members engaged in re-engineering business processes utilizing effective Lean tools and methodologies.
