Value Stream Solutions focuses in three areas:

People - Many companies say their greatest asset is people and yet when times get tough, the company lets its 'greatest asset' go. When processes aren't working at 100%, we pull out all the stops to get them working again. When products aren't passing at 100%, we pull out all the stops to get the issues resolved. And yet, when our people are not working at 100%, many companies spend very little time resolving the issues and creating high performing teams. Instead they focus on wishing they could find better people and largely ignoring the real problems. We believe companies already have the right people, they just might be in the wrong seats and most definitely aren't being engaged in identifying issues, analyzing the problems, brainstorming ideas and implementing solutions. We strive to create processes for companies that engage people in more than producing product so that you get the most from their hands and their brains. Our programs focus on developing this human capital to create a foundational culture of trust, teamwork and collaboration, and counter the unintended consequences of change. Our Human Capital programs develop effective people skills (interpersonal communication, teamwork and empowerment, etc). This area must be addressed throughout change efforts since it has such an impact on shifting attitudes that sustain new behaviours. 


Process - Everything that happens within an organization comes from a process, whether formal or informal. The results that come from these processes are either positive or negative (status quo in a continuous improvement culture being negative too!). Therefore every problem or opportunity that exists in the organization can be traced back to a process that broke down. When companies observe results they aren't happy with, the normal mode of problem solving looks more like chaotic fire fighting hoping that something will make the problem go away. The only way to be successful in the long run is to create new processes that allow people to be more flexible, make change and adapt to the new way quickly, even if that way will be changed again soon. Value Stream Solutions facilitators provide training & development opportunities for clients in core-activity skills, leadership, management & supervisory skills, as well as Problem Solving, Lean Thinking, Kaizen, Six Sigma and other decision making tools that allowing clients to effectively work together and fulfill their company’s mission. 


Product - The product or service provided by companies is what they do to make money or serve the social sector. The marriage between the company and its products and services sometimes gets in the way of creating profitable, responsive and customer driven enterprises. We use unique methods of assessment and Value Stream mapping to help identify problems and opportunities in the product or service offerings of our clients. We ask questions that internal people may not have asked. Alignment of People, Process and Products are essential for long-term success.
